Additional information

This edited collection preceded the launch of an international peer-reviewed journal, Twentieth Century Communism. Its theme and approach was conceived at a meeting of Professor Worley and Professor Morgan and is outlined in the co-written introduction. Worley's chapter then builds on the editors' call for collaboration and comparative methodology to be applied to communist history. The book marked an important advance in communist and wider political history, both in terms of its conceptualisation and its methodological approach to the subject.
