Aegina : contexts for choral lyric poetry
myth, history, and identity in the fifth century BC
Fearn’s contribution to this volume as editor and contributor was structural, reseach-intensive, and collaborative. Fearn shaped the entire volume: conceiving the overall project; organizing chapters and abstracts for acceptance with OUP; writing the introduction and a central chapter on the relation between Aeginetan choral lyric poetry and oligarchic politics; completing the bibliography and indices. He also assisted other contributors in the scope and design of their own contributions, throughout and in particular in the final section of the volume on historiography, where contributions took shape over several months of intense discussion and negotiation.
