Additional information

<09> This paper extends the authors' prior work on handling uncertainty in requirements engineering (Requirements Engineering Conference 2009) to the KAOS goal modeling framework. Thus it proposes a means to handle uncertainty in goal models; a novel idea at the time of publication with only one other major work in the area (Letier and van Lamsweerde). The paper is significant because of its application to specifying self-adaptive systems, a hot topic in software engineering research in recent years (see, for example, the SEAMS conference). The paper was selected as one of 45 papers out of 248 (18%) and is highly cited.
