The paper has been cited by a number of active groups in this field including Nobel Laureate Heeger [Santa Barbara] in Advanced Materials 24, 9, pp1171-1175,2012 . The recognition thus gained of this paper encouraged Kettle to develop a scientific interest in lifetime testing of organic devices which has led to the establishment of the Bangor ‘Centre for Lifetime and Reliability Testing ‘ (CLARET) (enabled by £500k support from the Welsh Assembly Government, Academic Expertise for Business scheme ).
