Additional information

<04> This paper presented a green integrated routing and grooming algorithm for multi-granularity transport optical network. The algorithm uses cross-layer optimisation methods to reduce power consumption at both IP layer and optical layer. This paper also proposed a novel node structure for grooming different granularities of traffic. Compared to the other state-of-the-art approaches, the algorithm improves the power savings at a rate up to 15% whilst the high-level QoS (Quality of Services) is still guaranteed. The established models and methods can be applied to implement the green optical network which will be much more environment friendly than the current one.
