Additional information

Laboratory measurements of the statistics of shoreline position have been performed for a variety of incident wave spectra. The work has confirmed existing theoretical predictions and led to an extensive experimental investigation conducted in a 300 Large Wave Flume (Hannover) supported by the grant HyIV-FZK-03 "Long wave dynamics and statistics of the shoreline motion: influence of the asymmetry and nonlinearity of incoming waves" in the framework of Hydralab IV, Joint Research Activities, within the FP7 European Commission Funded Collaborative Research Project.
