Effective solvothermal deoxidization of graphene oxide using solid sulphur as a reducing agent
This paper presents a new technique to prepare highly electrically conductive graphene and its dispersions using solid sulphur as a reducing agent (instead of other commonly used highly toxic and explosive reducing agents). This method allows a wide range of cheaper and environmentally-friendly solvents and surfactants, along with a safe and moderate reducing agent, to be combined to produce high quality graphene products on a large scale for various future applications. The paper was chosen by the journal as a “hot article” (http://blogs.rsc.org/jm/2012/08/01/latest-hot-articles-%E2%80%93-read-for-free-until-28th-august/).
