This was the first paper to systematically characterise the effects of stress on thermoset matrix composite fire reaction properties, which are key to the successful application of composites in transport. The work was initiated in the EC funded Momentum Marie-Curie Research Training Network (19198; Newcastle award £508k) and is being further developed in the EC funded FIRE-RESIST project (246037; Newcastle award £602k).
