Pathogen evolution in switching environments: a hybrid dynamical system approach
<13> This paper presents results arising from an international collaboration with a biologist (ETH Zurich, now Queensland, Australia) and an applied mathematician (University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee, USA). It was presented as an invited talk at the premier international conference on differential equations and applications in Orlando, FL in 2012. The mathematical modelling framework is widely applicable and is now being used for motion prediction of temporal failures in video surveillancing, as part of a research network between Anhui, China and Stirling, funded by a two year (2013-2015) grant from the British Council China (Farkas is co-I).
