Double-weighted statement

The books Acts of God in History is a collection of eleven articles which were – with one exception – published between 2008 and 2012. They are held together by one dominant research question, namely how transempirical realities can be incorporated into a historical and critical historiography based on a theistic (instead of a secular) approach to reality. The collection covers and analyses a considerable body of material from Jewish and Christian sources and the history of scholarship. Articles originally published in German have been translated and revised, and one of the English articles is considerably expanded.
