Additional information

The paper theoretically and experimentally investigates the performance of the Ethernet and Fast-Ethernet free space optical communications link under the influence of turbulence in a dedicated experimental indoor atmospheric chamber. This work is supported by the EU Cost Action IC 1101 (26 partners from 22 countries) (2011-2015), which Ghassemlooy is the vice-chairman, and has led to (i) EU Erasmus Mundus Action 2 Project cLink (Ref: 372242-EM-1-2012-1-UK-ERA MUNDUS-EMA21, 2012) (14 partners from 13 countries) with a total grant of 2.44M Euro (750k Euro for Northumbria), (ii) an invited keynote talk at 1st Seminar on Optical Wireless Communication 2013, (France).
