Additional information

This is an output of an international project with scientists from the Former Soviet Union funded by NATO (Grant CLG982288) where Mahkamov was the PI. This work led to the creation of a novel self-starting thermal energy converter utilising low grade thermal energy (solar, waste heat, biomass and waste combustion). The developed device can be deployed for water pumping and water desalination. This work resulted in Mahkamov being invited by Barr & Paatz Industrial Automation Ltd (systems integrators for leading-edge international manufacturers) to submit a joint TSB proposal on the development of Biomass Energy System (S. Paatz, s.paatz@barr-paatz.co.uk ).
