Additional information

In this work new improved coatings were developed and for the first time dynamic neural networks (led by Danaher) were used to predict the future behaviour of oxidation at high temperatures in this field. The work was done under EU FP6 INNOVATIAL - Innovative processes and materials to synthesise knowledge-based ultra-performance nanostructured PVD thin films on gamma Titanium Aluminides (INNOVATIAL-Project NMP3-CT-2005-515844) involving 24 institutions in 9 countries (A, D, GB, F, H, I, NL, PL, S).
