Additional information

An entirely new method for the detection of primordial black holes based on their acoustic signature, passing through the earth using the velocity potential is presented. This was developed with a subset of the ACoRNe collaboration (Lancaster and Northumbria) (STFC/MoD grant PPA/G/S/2003/00509-DTSL/04/JGS/552). Signal processing techniques are developed and the ACoRNe data set analysed. Though the results were only able to set upper limits, the work is easily extended to the planned new telescopes (e.g. KM3NeT).
