Additional information

This paper presented the first systematic study of RF sputtered (rather than the more common DC sputtered) molybdenum layers for use as an electrical back contact in a wide range of thin film photovoltaic solar cells. This work was an outcome from the EPSRC SUPERGEN PV21 consortium's research into thin film photovoltaic materials (EP/F029624/1). This programme was highly collaborative involving nine UK universities and nine industrial partners. This particular work involved close collaboration with Durham University.
