Additional information

This paper is one of the earliest papers to propose 4G long term evolution (LTE) signals to be carried by a single mode fibre in its analogue form to extend the coverage area of the base station. This paper proposes an important relay and forwarding node to reduce the cost per bit for the service provider. The work was part of a joint research in collaboration with the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, and led to an invited talk at 18th NOC conference 2013, Austria.
