Additional information

Three-stage grown chalcopyrite absorber yields the highest efficiencies for thin film solar cells. In this paper it is shown for the first time that Al can be graded and controlled in 3-stage MBE grown CuInAlSe2 and this effect was shown to impact on the solar conversion efficiency of the devices. The paper is a collaboration between with Ritzumekian University (Japan) and is part funded by EPSRC under PV21 SUPERGEN consortium (GR/S86341/0).
