Additional information

This work investigates the effect of the third stress invariant in powder compaction simulation, introduced through a Lode dependency. This work extends previous studies thst have focused on a modelling framework, rather than application. This has establsihed that it affects the outcome of a compaction cycle through the stress levels that are induced as the parts are ejected from the die. Surface stress levels are affected and this is of great interest when studying the onset of defects in powder compacts.
