Having met the significant technical challenge of accurate OFDM signal synchronisation for downstream/upstream transmission links, this patented technique (PCT/EP2010/066471) will be exploited in the commercialisation of OOFDM transceivers via the Bangor spin-off company Smarterlight. These results also form the basis for further research and, in particular, assisted in capturing a £36k grant for Sino-UK higher education research partnership for PhD studies (2012-2014).
