Additional information

<01>Originality: This paper lays the mathematical foundation for a new family of methods to reliably sense spectrum in multichannel data transmission systems. It demonstrates that the spectrum sensing problem can be solved with a priori accuracy by processing a finite number of signal samples collected randomly at arbitrarily low average rate. The analysed signals are assumed to be random and stationary in the wide sense.

Significance: The paper proposes a solution to an important aspect of designing cognitive radio systems

Rigour: Formal mathematical analyses support all major findings of this research. Results published in a leading, peer-reviewed journal.
