This paper forms the basis of a gas-liquid film modelling method which has been further enhanced by the authors for use by Rolls-Royce. This method has been passed a Critical Capability Acquisition Review (CCAR) on April 2nd 2012 (>=TRL4) following an external review involving academics (e.g. from Surrey) as well as Rolls-Royce Lead Subject Matter Expert (contact: colin.young@rolls-royce.com)
