Additional information
As a result of this work, a successful collaboration with Prof. O. Basaran (Purdue University) was established to take the research further - we will present our joint research at a major conference (APS Division of Fluid Dynamics 2013). This research attracted high profile, international media coverage including Science Magazine, Physics (APS-spotlighting exceptional research), Business Insider. In order to continue this research I was awarded a Royal Society University Research Fellowship (UF120319 - One of the five different research strands in the proposal is titled: Droplet dynamics), attracting over £421k over five years of funding.
