Additional information

Hybrid Systems are used to model a variety of processes that include both discrete and continuous dynamics. This system behaviour is difficult to understand using simulation alone, and analytic approaches are very useful for their Validation and Verification. In this paper, a new approach is presented for the robust stability analysis of nonlinear hybrid systems. The approach used in this paper was used by the European Space Agency in a project for verification of the terminal phase of the Mars Sample Return Mission (contact details available).
