Additional information

This is the result of an international multidisciplinary collaboration with the Devers’ Eye Institute, in Portland, USA, which specialises in glaucoma research. Dr Vicente Grau developed the technology for extraction of optic nerve head microstructure used in this publication, which has been since used in more than 10 journal papers by the Devers group, and has been a basic block in several grants subsequently funded by the NIH (NIH/NEI R01 EY011610, EY021281, EY018926, EY016149).
