Additional information

This work identified three different Cu(II) impurity defects in ferroelectric PbTiO3 using pulsed Electron Nuclear Double Resonance (ENDOR) from the Pb neighbour ions, and provided a local structure model for each. The work identified a major error in earlier work (PRL 100 095504). It established new UK capability in single crystal pulsed ENDOR studies enabled from our Basic Technology award. The output contributed to the inclusion of the University of Dundee in the EPSRC integrated Magnetic Resonance Centre of Doctoral Training. It also led to two invited talks at international meetings.
