Additional information

-For the first time, Semi-Implicit Method for Pressure-Linked Equations (SIMPLE) was extended to tackle the fluid flow and phase change heat transfer problem in PCM-metal foam composites.

-First research conducting a direct simulation of coupled heat conduction and natural convection (with phase change phenomenon) in metal foams.

-Source program developed is readily available for commercial software packages, making computer simulation possible for complex flow and phase change phenomena in porous media.

-Used as a benchmark by subsequent researchers in America, Australia, Canada, Chile, China, Germany, India, Iran, Japan, Russia and UK to validate their research results.
