Performance and testing of glass-ceramic sealant used to join anode-supported-electrolyte to Crofer22APU in planar solid oxide fuel cells
This is a paper published in an leading journal in the field and it resulted from an international collaboration between researchers from the UK (Hertfordshire) and Italy. It follows an earlier paper from 2008. It differs from the earlier work in that it describes work on the thermal cyclic behaviour of the sealant (and not on continuous heating). This was the first glass-ceramic a sealant composition that presented no cracks and no undesireable reactions at the interface with the interconnect. The information has been applied by ACACIA Cleantech to build a SOFC. (Contact: F. Smeacetto, shareholder: can provide other names)
