Additional information

This volume contains 19 papers delivered by a group of international scholars at an interdisciplinary conference hosted by Canterbury Christ Church University from 24 to 25 August 2006. The theme for the conference and the resulting book were devised jointly by Oakley-Brown (then in the Department of English) and Wilkinson (in the Department of History and American Studies). The volume was co-edited by Oakley-Brown and Wilkinson, who also co-authored the introduction (pp. 11-19). The book contains an essay by Wilkinson, entitled ‘The Imperial Marriage of Isabella of England, Henry III’s Sister’ (pp. 20-36).
