<06> This paper introduces the idea of using low-cost embedded computing devices to assist in detecting and alerting seismic events. The work describes a dynamic network architecture capable of sharing large quantities of data across bandwidth-restricted channels. The network communication is supported by the Packedobjects data compression tool that builds upon the previous work "J. P. T. Moore. Get stuffed: Tightly packed abstract protocols in Scheme. In Proceedings of the tenth Scheme and Functional Programming Workshop, August 2009.
