Additional information

This paper examines the expanding issue of audiological problems in people working in the music industry. A key result is that young people studying to enter the music industry are particularly at risk, due to lack of legislative control, and evidenced by a significantly increased instance of hearing loss. The papers have attracted attention & citation from practitioners and researchers. They have in particular generated a significant boost to researcher profile resulting in requests to review publications in the field of hearing loss (Wiley, Journal of Preventive Medicine, Journal of Physical Therapy and Health Promotion, Music Performance research).
