Additional information

<27>This paper proposes a completely new approach to the accurate and reliable measurement of vehicle ground speed which overcomes the problems of traditional wheel/axle-based methods especially in wheel-spin/slide conditions. The new technique has drawn a lot of attention from the rail industry and the authors have been invited to present the research to a wide range of audiences including IMechE Railway Division, Cross Rail Industry Adhesion Research Group and Rail Research UK workshop 2010.
