Additional information

Panneels was commissioned, in collaboration with Jeffrey Sarmiento, by Museum of Liverpool and Liverpool Daily Post. The aim of this commission was to find an innovative and visually challenging way to capture 'Liverpool; City of Culture 2008' through glass sculpture. Panneels developed the concept of the piece and gathered the survey data and images that make up the work, whilst Sarmiento worked on the fabrication methods required for the piece. Liverpool Map is equally a literal map and a visual narrative of Liverpool. The piece is in the permanent collection at Museum of Liverpool.
