Additional information

<20> The research in this paper demonstrated that the use of proposed electronic note-taking method was significantly better than a typical note taking method (e.g. Cornell). This work was taking forward by experimenting further with the addition of multimodal metaphors to electronic note-taking in order to improve its effectiveness, efficiency and user satisfaction. The whole experimental programme has produced a unique multimodal paradigm for students to capture notes in an electronic form. This work was part of a PhD thesis of Shaista Rashid.
