The technique developed in this work (using a single camera to produce a 3D flame image) has been adopted by the research group of Gong Yan (East China University of Science and Technology, Key Laboratory of Coal Gasification, China (gong0329@hotmail.com)). The method has been applied in bio-sample imaging by the research group in the Southeast University, China led by Professor Wang (smwang@seu.edu.cn).

Recent interest has been shown in this work by North University of China (Prof Zhou gdgc@nuc.edu.cn) with particular interest in flame measurement in explosions.
