Based on this work, Prof Olea received an invitation to collaborate with Kasetsart University in Thailand (contact Prof. Phungphai Phanawadee, fengphi@ku.ac.th) and submitted a successful joint application under the PMI2 Connect UK- East Asia, British Council programme (CD315) for exchange visits. In 2010 she gave an invited lecture there on this work. The collaboration with Thai Universities was extended: Prof Olea was invited to meet the senior management team and to give a lecture on her work on catalysis and catalysts for environmental applications at the Faculty of Science and Technology, Thammasat University, in 2012 (contact Dr. Chanatip Samart, s_chanatip@hotmail.com).
