This follows an earlier study by the author describing the first liquid phase BBCEAS measurements in standard cuvette. The results here were, at the time of publication, the most sensitive liquid phase absorption spectroscopy measurement reported in the literature and the article was amongst the top 5 most downloaded for Analyst between January and March 2011. A US patent (US8325342B2) has been granted, to be extended to the EU, with additional patent filings in train. The IP is exclusively licensed to Anasyst (R.Duggan@anasyst.com) which will focus on developing the approach for bioassay with up to x100 higher sensitivity over existing instruments.
