Additional information

This work arose from an EU Framework project, DVT-IMP (FP6-2005-IST-5-034256), coordinated by Ali. The use of single chain antibody receptor on impedimetric transducer described in this work is to be commercialised as point of care diagnostic device for deep vein thrombosis and pulmonary embolism through a university spin-out, Anasyst (www.anasyst.com). Contact Dr. Roger Duggan, Anasyst chairman, for the commercialisation strategy and the market potential (R. Duggan@anasyst.com). Manufacturing methods for scale-up are being explored with the National Printable Electronics Centre at the Centre for Process Innovation which is part of the High Value Manufacturing Catapult (tom.taylor@uk-cpi.com).
