Additional information

<29>This paper shows that by implementing a music sequencer using a button lattice as well as the benefits of being able to sequence music in a wide range of conventional and microtonal scales for an important class of scales it is possible to keep the key musical axis (pitch and generator scale) vertical and horizontal. The ideas have been embedded in a public domain application: Hex: The Dynamic Tonality Sequencer, making flexible tuning systems widely accessible to musicians working with notated music (http://www.dynamictonality.com/hex.htm). The application has been downloaded 667 times since 4th Oct 2012.
