<06>This recent journal paper (impact factor: 2.0) addresses all four types of MANET wormholes: hidden and participative modes, in- and out-band channel threats. It not only investigates wormhole detection rates for malicious attacks, but evaluates the corresponding false positive performance and scenarios where nodes have different radio ranges. Recent wormhole-related literature confirms PTT-based techniques have potential to afford effective low overhead detection mechanisms for heterogeneous networks. As a result of international requests to benchmark against this model, the detection algorithm code is being made open-source.
