A commentary on Propertius, Book 3

This 130,000-word commentary was begun in March 2008 and completed after a full year’s leave. The Latin text is based on Heyworth’s 2007 text; the 6-page apparatus is reworked; the rest of the material is new. The commentary required repeated consultation of the databases for Classical Latin and broad reading on the range of topics featured in Propertius’ book. Division of labour: Heyworth was responsible for 70% of the whole, producing 66% of the introductory material; 100% of the text and apparatus criticus; 70% of the commentary; 50% of the appendix, bibliography and index.
