Experimentally validated continuous-time repetitive control of non-minimum phase plants with a prescribed degree of stability
Significance of output:
Fuses Model Predictive and Repetitive Control methodologies, for the first time enabling constraints to be employed within a repetitive control framework. Combines stringent analysis-based design procedures with rigourous experimental benchmarking to demonstrate industrial utility. The potential has been evinced by its application to next generation underwater UAVs (supported by EPSRC EP/I009876/1) and wind-turbines (supported by Vestas Technology UK Limited). The research reinforces collaboration with groups in America, Holland, Australia, Germany and Poland, as well as several in the UK, with numerous invited seminars worldwide. It also featured highly in workshops at 2011 IFAC World Congress, and America Control Conference 2012.
