Additional information

The work follows from an OSDA LINK Optical Systems award [DTI: TJBH/C/002/00094TB (2004)]. It describes auto-focusing algorithms and their application to inline digital holography of microscopic particles. The metrics have been applied to holograms of plankton recorded in the North Sea with eHoloCam – a digital holographic camera developed at Aberdeen University
