Additional information

This article is result of collaboration of Dr Karadaglic with Professor Stojanovic from the University of Montenegro. Dr Karadaglic was the main and initial idea to use sensing properties of commercial LEDs and he also proposed the design. The design combines the advantages of FPGA acting as an actuator together with LEDs, acting as light emitters and sensors. The design described in the paper has been filled as a patent with the Montenegrin agency for intellectual property, and Montenegrin Association for New Technologies (MANT) now works on the feasibility study with the aim of commercialisation.
