Additional information

Nano amorphous metals reported as potential replacements for the low volumetric capacity carbon anode material for Li-ion Batteries. However, they suffer from high cost and the technical difficulties associated with manufacturing. This paper reports for the first time of the successful deposition of novel tin–nickel–iron amorphous alloys of high quality via low cost electrochemical deposition. Understanding the structure and properties of these alloys are crucial to the development and potential application of future energy storage. This project is part of collaborative work with the renowned Eötvös Loránd University, Budapest, Hungary.
