This paper describes the successful build of LISA Pathfinder flight optical bench interferometer. This very challenging activity was conducted by a small group of which I am PI. My contributions included design of critical optical elements, design, development and programming of associated test equipment that allowed the high precision of component alignment to be achieved, and participation in the writing of the paper.
