Knowledge of codimension-2 bifurcations in a system provide understanding of how its dynamics are organised. A dry-friction oscillator is example of piecewise smooth system, where analytic techniques are few and far between. Paper showed for first time that system has infinitely-many codimension-2 bifurcation points. Analytic expressions for two most important bifurcation curves are derived and show excellent agreement with previous numerical studies. Work led to award of Marie Curie Postdoctoral Fellowship to first-author Guardia.
