Additional information

Fatigue is major design consideration for rotating composite components. Paper is first to develop cohesive modelling techniques for fatigue-crack propagation using finite-element analysis applicable at structural level. Work has been adopted within Rolls-Royce plc. University Technology Centre (UTC) at Bristol. Underpinning work led to EPSRC KTS award (2011) at Rolls-Royce plc. [contact: Technical Leader].
