Additional information

In electromagnetism, fundamental limits of structural performance are notoriously hard to derive analytically and harder to find experimentally. Paper is first to show theoretical limit to capability of tunable resonators to store energy. Methodology has generated granted patents for resonator designs in UK (P111398GB00) and USA (US8279024) and led to Warr being invited to work for 6 months with world-leading Martinos Centre for Biomedical Imaging at Harvard University with aim of establishing new collaborative research between University of Bristol, Harvard University and Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
