Additional information

<22>This paper is a development of ideas initially worked out during my study leave in 2005; I have presented these ideas in keynote talks at TIME 2006 and FOIS 2006. The paper has played a part in securing my recognition as a leading expert on the ontology of processes (as reflected, for example, in invitations to act as facilitator at a summer school devoted to this topic to be held by the International Association for Ontology and its Applications in July 2011, and to participate in the CSMN workshop on Processes and Agency held in Oslo in November 2011).
