Additional information

This research investigates dynamic fracturing behaviour of brittle material by incorporating rate-dependency into lattice simulation - showing that the dynamic crack propagation velocity can be well predicted by the model. In addition, for the first time with this approach a numerical investigation on dynamic branching has been conducted.
